Your privacy is important to us. We want you to feel safe with us, and we act following this and the legal regulations on the protection of personal data, especially the new European General Data Protection Regulation, which applies from May 25, 2018. Below, we inform you about the purposes for which we collect and use Your data and how you can monitor these procedures and exercise your rights.

Our IT systems are protected by technical and organizational measures against unauthorized access, modification, or dissemination of your data, as well as against loss or deletion.

Storia Antiqua j.d.o.o. undertakes to protect customers' data, in such a way that it collects only necessary, basic data about customers/users that are necessary for the fulfillment of our obligations; informs customers about the way the collected data is used, regularly gives customers a choice about the use of their data, including the ability to decide whether or not they want their name removed from lists used for marketing campaigns. All user data is strictly kept and is available only to employees who need this data to perform their work. All employees of Storia Antiqua j.d.o.o. and business partners are responsible for respecting the principles of privacy protection.

Purpose of data processing

You can be sure: We use your data exclusively to fulfill your requests, conclude and execute contracts, and exclusively for our marketing and realization of other legitimate interests to improve our business, as well as to comply with our legal obligations. We use the data only for established, clear, legitimate, and expected purposes and do not pass it on or use it for unforeseen or unexpected purposes.

Processing is carried out following the General Data Protection Regulation and Croatian laws and regulations.

What data do we collect?

We store your data when you make an inquiry, request an offer, or conclude a contract (purchase, services, online order, online user profile) in our retail store or online store. Depending on the type of request or contract, it may be the following data:

  • Name and surname
  • • Address (residence and/or delivery)
  • OIB
  • • Email address
  • • Telephone/fax number
  • • Goods/services
  • • Bank data

We process this data to conclude or execute a contract with you and fulfill your other requests. Data is also processed based on our legitimate interests to improve business, all as explained below. The data is available only to those employees in our retail store, Internet store, and customer support who are necessary to perform the work, to provide you with the contracted services and support.

To conclude a contract, we need at least your name, surname, and address, so that we can identify you. To issue an offer for contracting consumer loans, as well as to issue R1 accounts to craftsmen and self-employed persons, we need an OIB. We collect contact data (e.g. e-mail address) to fulfill your requests (e.g. sending an offer at your request, confirmation of a webshop order) and execution of the contract (e.g. delivery address, contact phone number). Depending on the payment method, we may also process bank details.

All the above-mentioned data are collected as necessary and without them, it is not possible to conclude and fulfill the contract and execute your requests.

Managing the customer database is based on the realization of the legitimate interests of Storia Antiqua j.d.o.o. to improve the efficiency of business and the quality of service, and in addition, it makes it easier for us to comply with regulations on the protection of personal data related to the accuracy and transferability of personal data. We also took into account your interests, because through the exchange and availability of data in our centers and departments, we enabled you to:

Product delivery

We forward the personal data of the contact person for delivery, i.e. name and surname, delivery address, and phone number, which we received from you with the order confirmation, to our logistics partner to prepare the products from your order and deliver them to the address according to your request. Business partners are authorized to use this data and contact you exclusively to deliver individual shipments, following our instructions.

Cookies and web analytics

We use cookies on our website to enable certain technical features (e.g. shopping cart, navigation) and thus provide you with a positive user experience. We also use cookies that enable web analytics, i.e. analysis of the use of our pages, which we perform to improve the quality and content of the services offered. We do not use cookies or similar technologies to track your interests and send marketing materials. We use the Google Analytics cloud service to process this data for analytical purposes. Following the contract with us, Google does not use this data for any other purpose and acts as a processor exclusively on our behalf. Following its membership in the so-called Privacy Shield ("Privacy Shield"), a cooperation program between the European Union (EU) and the United States of America (USA), Google takes all necessary measures to protect data. Direct marketing and notifications

Direct marketing is a form of information and advertising that we address directly to our customers through various channels, e.g. by mail or e-mail, as well as to potential customers who have previously expressed interest in our products or services.

Depending on the direct marketing channel, we base the processing of your data either on your consent or on our legitimate business interest, following the General Data Protection Regulation.

In addition to direct marketing purposes, we send all our customers and users notifications by e-mail in the form of a newsletter about important changes in our business (eg changes in guarantees or terms of business) to all our customers and users. Sending notices helps fulfill our legal and/or contractual obligations to our customers and users, and is based on our legitimate interest in adequately informing them of important changes in our business that may affect them.

At any time, you can object to the processing of your data for some or all of our direct marketing channels, as well as for sending notifications. In the case of newsletters, an objection can also be raised by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the newsletter you received from us, thereby expressing objection to receiving that particular type of newsletter.

For the delivery of newsletters, as well as for the management of recipient lists and records of complaints (i.e. unsubscribes), Ideja d.o.o. uses the Mailchimp platform and services of the company "The Rocket Science Group, LLC" from the USA, which according to the contract is the processor and acts exclusively on our behalf and takes all necessary measures for data protection following its membership in the "Privacy Shield" cooperation program between EU and USA.
